Festival of Freaks began as a small gathering in 2019, created out of a passion for the strange, the spooky, and the beautifully unconventional. What started as a modest local event has grown year after year into one of Oklahoma’s largest Halloween and oddities festivals, bringing together people who share a love for all things weird and wonderful.
From dark artists and oddities collectors to handmade creators, performers, and alternative small businesses, Festival of Freaks was built to celebrate the incredible talent that exists within our state. We wanted to create a space where artists and vendors who don’t always fit into traditional markets could feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
More than just a Halloween event, Festival of Freaks has become a community — a place where creativity, self-expression, and individuality thrive. Every year, we continue to grow while staying true to our original mission: showcasing the unique art, handmade creations, and unforgettable people that make Oklahoma’s alternative art scene so special.
With the rise of AI platforms across various media, there has been much commentary and controversy among artists and other creatives about the ethical implications of using these services in the art world.
We will only be accepting artwork from vendors that is not generated by AI platforms.
